Star Wars hand towels featuring C-3PO and R2-D2 from The Bibb Company, 1977. Found on eBay for $13 (pair of two). The trick to collecting vintage Star Wars towels is condition. Finding them unused like these ones is rare. The only way these could be better is if they had the tags still attached.
I’m against grading in general, and this… just, who grades something like this from the Preschool line?

Hello, and thanks for following Empire Strikes Bath on Tumblr. The response to this Tumblr has amazed me, and I thought I’d chime in to say hi & thanks. The blog has been sort of on hiatus since late December as I had a very intense work project that took up most of my time, but soon I’ll resume regular posts…
I also wanted to give a Tumblr Tuesday shout out to Mostly Forbidden Zone, aka zoomar.tumblr.com who bugged me in the best way to finally DO SOMETHING with http://empirestrikesbath.com which I had registered long ago. As I hemmed and hawwed over what content I should create for a website focused on my collection, Zoomar patiently kept reminding me “just do a Tumblr, it’s so easy.” So when he finally got me to write “Why I Collect Star Wars” for MonkeyGoggles.com, it was the perfect time to do it.
So, check out Mostly Forbidden Zone, it’s my Tumblr Tuesday recommendation. I think it’s one of the best Tumblr’s I’ve seen. I won’t try to describe it, just go see for yourself.
